Child Journey App

A private social platform designed to support parents in both sharing and managing their child’s journey. The experience was structured around a timeline concept, combining emotional storytelling with practical needs such as appointments, records, and daily routines. The project focused on designing a clear and scalable UX, balancing privacy, access control, and usability while organizing complex information into a cohesive and intuitive flow.

The Problem

Parents needed a safe space to share moments about their children without exposing personal information on traditional social platforms. At the same time, important aspects of a child’s life such as medical appointments, routines, and milestones were scattered across different tools.

There was no single place that combined emotional storytelling with structured information, creating a fragmented and inefficient experience.

The Approach

The product was designed around a core concept: transforming the child’s journey into a private timeline, from birth through adolescence. This timeline became the central element of the experience, combining memories, updates, and essential information in a single, continuous narrative.

The UX work focused on structuring this timeline in a way that balanced emotional sharing with practical management. Information architecture and user flows were designed to integrate different layers such as posts, health records, and appointments without overwhelming the user.

A key challenge was designing permission and visibility logic, allowing parents to control exactly who could access each moment or piece of information. This ensured a sense of trust while maintaining ease of use.

The process included persona definition, flow mapping, low-fidelity exploration, and iterative refinement toward high-fidelity interfaces, always focusing on clarity, continuity, and reduced cognitive load.

The Outcome

The result was a cohesive experience centered around the child’s life journey. Parents could build a meaningful timeline while managing important responsibilities in the same environment.

By organizing both emotional and functional content into a single flow, the product reduced fragmentation and created a more engaging and trustworthy experience. The structure also provided a scalable foundation for future features, maintaining consistency and usability over time.
